A correction
A menu moved, a fact is off, a link is dead. Say which page and what you found. We fix the text and update the date.
A question about an article
Tell us the page you were reading and what you expected. We can explain what a page says and where it is thin.
A privacy request
To see, correct or delete what we hold, pick the Privacy request topic in the form below, or email [email protected].
A screenshot
Spoofed-call screenshots are welcome, and Marcus reads them all. Crop out other people's numbers first. We will never publish yours.
[ quick answers ]
- How fast do you reply?
- A person reads every message, usually within a few days. Busy weeks take longer.
- What helps in a message?
- The page you were reading, what you expected and what you found, plus your carrier and phone model if a menu has moved. You do not need to include the number that called you.
- What should I leave out?
- Account numbers, card numbers, passwords and one-time codes. We never need them.
- What do you keep?
- Your name, email, topic, message, the time and a hashed form of your IP address. It is deleted twelve months after we reply, or sooner if you ask. Details are in the privacy notice.
- What can't you do?
- We do not investigate who called you, trace calls, recover money, give legal advice, recommend a blocking product or act as a go-between with your carrier. For fraud that has already happened, start with ReportFraud.ftc.gov and your bank.
